How to join both PMI and PMI-NAC
- Go to www.pmi.org
- On the right hand Quick Links menu, find “Become a PMI Member” and click “Join Now”.
- Choose the plan that best suits your needs – individual, student, or retiree.
- If you clicked on “Individual”, go to “Individual Membership” and “Add to Cart”.
- At this time, the “Community Membership” option allows you to define any additional memberships you wish to sign up for, including SIGs, Colleges and Chapters. Click on “Browse Communities.”
- To join PMI-NAC, click on “Chapters” and locate the PMI-NAC under “North America > Alberta > Northern Alberta”. Click “Add to Cart”. A $20 fee will be added to your membership.
- You must use a credit card to pay the appropriate fees.
- Once you have enrolled through this online registration and have selected PMI-NAC as your chapter membership, PMI International will complete the paperwork and download your membership information to PMI-NAC.
While you are waiting to receive your first communication from PMI-NAC, please visit our website regularly to remain up to date on current and future events.

How to join only PMI-NAC if you are already a PMI member
- You must be a member in good standing with PMI before applying for membership in PMI Northern Alberta Chapter.
- Go to www.pmi.org and logon using your ID and password.
- On the “Member Information” home page scroll down to Components.
- Click edit to add SIGs, Chapters, and/or Colleges.
- Complete the necessary questions and submit payment.
Renewing your Membership with PMI and PMI-NAC
When you renew your membership each year in PMI, don't forget to renew your membership in the Northern Alberta Chapter as well. You can accomplish both renewals (and any other SIG, or College renewals you have also) during the same on-line session.

Changing your Contact Information
When you joined or renewed your membership in PMI and PMI-NAC, you probably did so using the on-line application process on the PMI website. From the Member Log On, you can access and edit your contact information that was collected at the time of your application. The information shown at this site is the contact information that both PMI and PMI-NAC have for you.
On a monthly basis, the membership data that PMI has for PMI-NAC members is downloaded to the Northern Alberta Chapter. This is how we get your contact information, so it is very important that it contains up-to-date information. You are the only one who can change it, so please make sure it is what you want.
Some key items for you to check include:
- Your Business and/or Home address: to insure PMI-HQ and PMI-Northern Alberta Chapter have your correct addresses.
- Your Member Preferences: to insure that PMI and PMI-Northern Alberta Chapter information is mailed to the location you want.
- Components (Chapters, SIGs, Colleges): to make sure that you have signed up for the PMI-Northern Alberta Chapter.
