Why not join the Northern Alberta Chapter “Study Group” and share the experience, knowledge and task of learning?
A study group is a gathering of like individuals who are working toward achieving their CAPM and/or PMP Certification together. By working together, you share the learning process and, through your facilitators, learn what is really important within the exam to know and why.
To join and participant in the Northern Alberta Chapter’s Study Group does not cost you anything but, your time and commitment. This commitment includes the following 4 steps.
- Be a member in good standing with the PMI organization How to Join
- Associate the Northern Alberta Chapter (NAC) as your chapter with the PMI How to Join
- Have completed, submitted and receive acceptance from PMI to take the certification exam;
- Then contact the VP of PMP Certification.
Please note: This Study Group is not like any other. In this Study Group, the facilitator provides instruction type training for the first three Chapters of the PMBOK to relay the foundation and basics. Then, the tables are turned for the remaining chapters that include Chapter 4-12 of the knowledge areas. Here, the Study Group facilitators step aside and let you the student present and teach the material. Along the way, the facilitators’ will provide tips and tricks for the exam and highlight key learning’s for the Study Group. In the next to last session the facilitators with provide “additional material” and overall wrap-up. If this interests you...
